Join us from June 19-24, 2022, as the School of Music at Texas A&M University-Kingsville hosts the Javelina Marching Camp. This camp will help high school drum majors, color guard, drum line, front ensemble, and all other instrumentalists prepare for the 2022 marching season. Students will work with TAMUK faculty and the leadership team of the Pride of South Texas Javelina Marching Band.
All students will receive instruction in leadership techniques, as well as their area of specialization. In addition, every afternoon they will be able to participate in electives, including concert, chamber, and jazz ensembles, mariachi, conducting, improvisation, and much more!
Registration is open NOW with a priority registration deadline of June 1st. Tuition for commuters is $250 for the week and $400 for students who stay in the dorms if registered by the 1st. Students selected to a Texas All-State ensemble are eligible to receive a camp scholarship that will be applied toward their tuition.
Come join us this summer and be part of the first summer camp to be held in the new, state-of-the-art, 100,000 square foot music building.
