JAVELINA BAND CAMP: JUNE 18-23, 2023
Welcome!
Join us from June 18-23, 2023, as the School of Music at Texas A&M University-Kingsville hosts the Javelina Marching Camp. This camp will help high school drum majors, color guard, drum line, front ensemble, and all other instrumentalists prepare for the 2022 marching season. Students will work with TAMUK faculty and the leadership team of the Pride of South Texas Javelina Marching Band.
All students will enjoy a core curriculum consisting of marching fundamentals, leadership, and full ensemble music rehearsals in addition to a variety of electives including Drum Major Training, Jazz Band, Mariachi, Color Guard, and more! In addition, every afternoon they will be able to participate in electives, including concert, chamber, and jazz ensembles, mariachi, conducting, improvisation, and much more!
Registration will be open on March 1st, 2023 with a priority registration deadline of June 1st. An all inclusive tuition of $400 includes all housing, meals, and instruction for the duration of the camp. Commuters receive a discounted price of $250 that covers meals and instruction. Additionally, all members of the Texas All-State Band will receive a $250 scholarship!
